Poker Central collaborate with CakeWorks in Hand History docuseries

Poker Central and digital media party peeps, CakeWorks, are once again collaborating, this time to bring PokerGO viewers an insight into the most famous hand histories of modern times.

Clearing out the garage before I ventured into the typhoon infested waters of Asia, I came across a watch with the word NOW written on it. I bought it a few years ago, after sharing a World Series of Poker (WSOP) table with a particularly chilled out superfood vegan.

“It helps me remain in the NOW.” He told me while taking all of my money.

I needed some of that.

3 Barrels: Moorman tops $15m in Online Cashes; Bonomo on Ike; Chop-Chop

Three poker snippets including Chris Moorman topping $15m in online cashes, Justin Bonomo with praise for Ike Haxton, and a rare insight into a One Drop chop-chop.

I had to clean out my shit, and that meant all of my books going to my son, charity or the tip. I came across Chris Moorman’s second book. Pristine. No autograph this time. I hadn’t read it; no reflection on Chris; a simple case of realising I would never read all the books I wanted to before meeting my maker.

In a compromise, I took the book over to the local coffee shop, figuring I could read a few morsels while waiting for the barista to create a dragon in the froth of my Coconut Latte.

I picked it up a week later.

Legends come roaring to life in Dragon Kings

Harness the power of the four seas in Dragon Kings, the new, feature-packed, video slot from Betsoft Gaming. A sharp remix of an ancient legend, Dragon Kings brings Chinese mythology roaring to life with a crisp, modern aesthetic, contemporary Asian-inspired music, and a deluge of special features.

From tiered, progressive jackpots to free spins, the keys to Dragon Kings’ unique features lie beneath the surface, in the hands of the dragons. Legend has it that the waters surrounding ancient China – four oceans to the north, south, east and west – were controlled by dragon spirits, whose dispositions shaped the seas themselves. Travellers would give thanks to these dragons for a smooth crossing, or call on their powers when conditions turned treacherous. In Dragon Kings, these scaly spirits are reimagined as standout symbols who occupy a reel each, and whose powers can quickly change the ebb and flow of gameplay.

All four dragons are wild – substituting for any other non-dragon symbol – and each has its own unique power.  Confined to reel 1, the Azure Dragon will lock all other dragons in place when he appears, and allocate players one free spin.  On reel 2, the White Dragon will clone itself once on the reel to its left or right, creating a chain of wilds.  Appearing only on reel 4, the Red Dragon will instantly award a random prize from an extensive pool, with the potential of up to 400X the player’s line bet.  And on reel 5, the black dragon will multiply any winning line that includes him by 3X.

Legend also tells of a fifth dragon, whose power was so potent that he ruled over even the protectors of the seas. In-game, the Dragon King appears in all his glory: a golden, full-height animated character who presides over the centre reel, doubles the payout from winning lines, and controls the player’s path to Dragon Kings’ tiered jackpots. When the King appears alongside one or more other dragons, their combined powers can multiply the player’s total line bet by a staggering 2,000X, and will call the game’s sixth reel into play – a single-symbol reel that acts as the resting place for the Dragon King’s Magical Pearl.

partypoker release Caribbean Poker Party schedule, and Trickett documentary

partypoker release the schedule for the Caribbean Poker Party, including two $10m Guaranteed events, and a $250,000 buy-in event, and Sam Trickett gets the documentary treatment.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is over. Poker players from across the globe are committing harakiri. Winners tumble into a winter of depression. Losers would rather face a life encased in Damien Hirst’s formaldehyde than face another hand.

But there is hope.

The big guns head to Shinwa World in Jeju, South Korea for a fortnight of bibimbap, bowing and the best high-stakes jinks in the business at the Triton Poker Series, and the rest focus on the Bahamas.

Betway expands brand awareness with deals in cricket, horse racing and esports

The online gambling outfit, Betway, has expanded its reach, cutting deals with Cricket West Indies, Galway races, and FACEIT London Major at Wembley.

Football was for the working class. Scum. Council estaters. All you needed was a ball and four jumpers. Cricket was for the toffs. Southerners. Nancies. People with too much money. You required bats, wickets, gloves, balls, and things to prevent your fruit and veg from getting squished.

I did play cricket on the Sega Megadrive once.

That was fun.
