Porn stars hate Trump, love Sanders

There may be blizzard conditions in D.C., but politics have never been steamier than at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas. The Daily Beast’s Asawin Suebsaeng injected politics into the annual XXX convention at Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel, canvassing porn stars and other industry heavyweights about their political views.

Mobile casino operator LeoVegas picks Kambi for sportsbook diversification

Mobile gambling operator LeoVegas has tapped B2B sportsbook technology provider Kambi Sports Solutions to spur the site’s diversification beyond its casino roots.

On Friday, Kambi announced it had signed a deal to deliver its fully managed sportsbook to Malta-based casino operator LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group. The addition, which will be in place by the end of H1, will allow LeoVegas customers to shift seamlessly between casino and sports verticals while furthering LeoVegas’ expansion into new international markets.

Kambi CEO Kristian Nylèn complimented LeoVegas as a “very exciting and fast growing brand in mobile gaming” and predicted that the two companies’ “mutual interest in driving innovation in mobile sports betting forms a powerful foundation for this partnership.”

LeoVegas co-founder Gustaf Hagman logrolled back, saying an “extensive selection process” had identified Kambi as “the partner that can match our high ambition and provide enabling technology and capability for us to innovate and drive the sports betting experience in the mobile era.”

Illinois AG seeks dismissal of daily fantasy sports operator complaints

Illinois state Attorney General Lisa Madigan has filed motions to dismiss lawsuits filed by daily fantasy sports operators DraftKings and FanDuel.

Two days before Christmas, Madigan released her opinion that DFS was illegal gambling under state law and sent notices to both DFS operators saying she expected them to add Illinois to the list of states from which they didn’t accept action.

The sites promptly filed complaints seeking damages for Madigan allegedly harming their reputation and impeding their ability to conduct business, while seeking a ruling that their operations aren’t violating Illinois’ Criminal Code.

Within days, the parties reached a deal “not to pursue any other action” against each other until the matter was resolved. The sites were widely considered to be playing for time while state legislators attempted to pass DFS-friendly consumer protection bills that would exempt DFS from state gambling laws.
