Shared Experience – What is the biggest challenge facing leaders today?

Esports platform PvPRO signs data, streams and integrity partnership with Sportradar for upcoming tournaments

PvPRO, one of the most exciting platforms for CS:GO games, tournaments and leagues, has called on Sportradar to distribute the audiovisual streams and data from all its upcoming competitions on an exclusive, worldwide basis. In addition, the leading provider of integrity solutions in the sport and esports sectors will be employing its award-winning Fraud Detection System across PvPRO’s competitions.

PvPRO, who will be kicking of their Electronic Sports Global Tour with a first €200,000 prize-money stop in Myknonos this week, have put pen to paper on a multiyear deal that focuses in on audiovisual streaming rights for the global betting market, plus data distribution rights for the betting as well as non-betting ecosystems. To protect all PvPRO’s competitions, Sportradar’s Integrity Services, which is one of the founding members of ESIC (the Esports Integrity Coalition), will monitor betting patterns from all relevant bookmakers and operators around the world in order to identify suspicious betting activity.

Speaking about the deal, PvPRO CEO Stamos Venios said: “Launching our first stop of our first ESG Tour is a super exciting development for us and we are delighted to have secured the involvement of top CS:GO teams such as SK, Virtus.pro and mousesports. To really kick the Tour off in style and with a statement of professional intent, we also wanted to bring on board the number one specialists in esports data, betting streams and integrity. Securing Sportradar’s support and expertise was really important to the credibility and distribution of the Tour and as we start this journey, we could not be happier to have Sportradar by our side”.

Blockchain eGaming platform Wild Crypto completes token pre-sale in 96 seconds

September – Wild Crypto (SYMBOL: WILD), developers of a revolutionary international lottery and eGaming platform built upon blockchain technology, has completed its initial token sale in just 96 seconds.

Ahead of the main token sale on Tuesday, 5th September, which begins at 08:00 GMT+1, the pre-sale offered early access in a bid to raise 2,000 Ether.

LaLiga and Perform Group create LaLiga official data centre

Innovators join in five-year agreement to expand global availability of data on Spanish football competitions

In a deal designed to broaden the availability of data from one of the world’s highest profile football leagues, LaLiga and Perform Group today announced the creation of the LaLiga Official Data Centre.

Jointly led by Perform and LaLiga, the newly created LaLiga Official Data Centre will be responsible for ensuring LaLiga maximizes the use of official match data across multiple sectors and channels. LaLiga will utilise Perform’s sports data collection, distribution and commercialisation expertise in the media, professional analysis and betting sectors, via Perform’s Opta and RunningBall data brands. The five-year agreement starts with the 2017/18 season.

The cost of America’s war on Antigua, Calvin Ayre and online gambling

A new report has exposed the legal, economic and political cost of America’s ill-advised online gambling trade dispute with Antigua and the prosecution of Bodog brand founder Calvin Ayre.

The report, written by Dr. Patrick Basham, Founding Director of the Washington- and London-based Democracy Institute, is titled How The WTO, Antigua & A Canadian Overcame American Hypocrisy On Free Trade. The report (read it here) bills itself as “a cautionary tale for America’s trading partners, foreign businesses, and fellow members of multilateral economic institutions.”

In the report, Basham lays bare “America’s mistaken campaign to bully, figuratively speaking, a tiny fellow member of the World Trade Organization (WTO), and to persecute and prosecute foreign businessmen, in order to ensure the successful application of ill-conceived domestic legislation.”

A 24-year old student from Portugal has won the latest WPTDeepStacks Main Event, in the Casino Vilamoura, Portugal.

Francisco Lopes defeated a field of 250 entrants to take down the $65,521 first prize, after a heads-up victory over a man who is becoming a permanent fixture on the European WPTDeepStacks scene.

The Algerian, Omar Lakhdari, not only came to the final table sitting on a healthy chip lead worth 151 big blinds, but he also knew the way to the final two spots, after finishing runner-up in the WPTDeepStacks Main Event in Cannes back in June for €43,720 pay day.

The first concerns what could potentially become the largest-ever live poker festival (regarding prize money) in Canada’s live tournament history. The tweet, which appeared on partypoker ambassador Kristen Bicknell’s Twitter account, shows an infographic mentioning a $10m GTD MILLIONS event at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal.

The new event, scheduled to take place in May 2018, is double the CAD$5m Guarantee partypoker LIVE put on the side of the tin of the Playground Poker Spring Classic partypoker Million North America in May of last year.

12BET in ping pong deal; Star India beat out Sony & Facebook in IPL deal

12BET continues to mop up the sponsorship deals in the minor leagues of professional sport with another World Cup partnership signed in blood this week.

The online gambling company is the official betting and gambling sponsor of the 2018 International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Team World Cup.

The event billed as Table Tennis Coming Home takes place at London’s Copper Box Arena, the home to the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games, Feb 22-25, 2018.

Betsson CEO Bengtsson leaving due to ‘different priorities’

Nordic online gambling operator Betsson AB has abruptly parted ways with its CEO, reportedly due to a disagreement over the company’s black-market operations in Turkey.

On Monday, Betsson issued an official statement saying its board of directors and CEO Ulrik Bengtsson (pictured) had agreed that Bengtsson “shall leave the position as President and CEO” of the company. The notice added that Bengtsson “has chosen to leave his position immediately.”

Betsson’s board has appointed chairman Pontus Lindwall as its temporary CEO until it can find a permanent replacement. Lindwall was Betsson’s CEO until March 2016, when Bengtsson assumed the CEO mantle and Lindwall shifted to chairman.

Board member Patrick Svensk will assume the chairman’s role until further notice, while Betsson’s chief commercial officer Jesper Svensson has been appointed acting CEO of Betsson’s Malta subsidiary.
