David Branch won the World Series of Fighting middleweight championship by defeating Jesse Taylor by submission at WSOF 10 in June 2014. He defended his title for the first time later that year against Yushin Okami at WSOF 15. He then won the WSOF light heavyweight crown by defeating Teddy Holder by submission at WSOF 23 in September.
