Rayontra McCall runs up to the driver’s side of Chad Nelson’s car and punches him in the face. As his fist crunches into a mass of flesh and bone, Nelson shoots McCall twice in the chest. He falls to the floor, dust flies into the air. His eyes close. They never open again. A life cut short by a game of poker.
