East Bay man is newest lottery millionaire

A Castro Valley man who told lottery officials he rarely waits to get home to scratch off his lottery tickets will have plenty of time to savor his recent $1 million lottery win. Lottery officials said Thursday that Kenneth Baguio, a regular player who won $600 on three different tickets from the same purchase a week earlier, bought the $10 Silver and Gold Scratcher at his regular grocery store — Lucky at 3443 Castro Valley Boulevard in Castro Valley on Feb. 21. To his surprise, he hit the $1 million jackpot.
