Sen. Johnny Ray Turner, D-Prestonsburg, has announced higher education in eastern Kentucky once again reaped the rewards of the Kentucky Lottery proceeds. During the 2015 fiscal year, 3,301 grants and scholarships worth $5,296,580 were awarded to students in Senate District 29, which Turner represents.
