Macau casino operators rose 5% on Tuesday in New York on reports that the Macau government will relax visa rules for mainland Chinese, effective July 1. Many mainland Chinese visit Macau on a transit visa, which is easier to get than a proper visitor’s visa. Till June 30, transit visas only allowed mainland Chinese to stay in Macau for 5 days.
