The first of its kind in the industry, the Matchbook Traders Conference sought to bring together sports traders, looking to improve their industry knowledge and skills. With a raft of speakers each focusing on a different aspect of sports trading, the day proved to be much more than just a conference.

With speakers and attendees from across the globe gathering at London’s Emirates Stadium to discuss their passion for sports and statistics the event became much more than the intended conference, from pin drop silences, raucous laughter to the babble of intense conversations. Matchbook Traders Conference became the much needed social hub for sports traders, putting faces to names, igniting discussions and imparting knowledge, with one attendee commenting on the opportunity to “meet other traders and the ability to approach professional traders and discuss their ideas”, Matchbook Traders Conference has become the acceptable face of sports betting.

The day saw discussions on everything from taxation, to specific betting strategies and how to mentally deal with the day-to-day stress of being a professional trader.
