PokerStars charity arm Helping Hands are putting their full weight behind a charity poker tournament held to raise funds for the Los Angeles Police Department Memorial Foundation, and launch a new tournament format called Beat The Clock.

PokerStars charity arm Helping Hands is putting its full weight of support behind the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation Celebrity Tournament And Casino Night.

The event will raise funds for the LAPD employees and immediate family members who have been touched by ‘catastrophic circumstances including death, illness and injury.’ The foundation has been in existence for over 40-years and has raised more than $16m during that time.

House of Lies star Don Cheadle will host the event, and he is expected to find himself in the company of hard man Tito Ortiz, the delicious Tia Carrera and the not so Young Gun, Lou Diamond Phillips.
