Los Angeles, California – Sports Information Traders a U.S. based sports analytics company announced today that they have purchased the rights and assets of Big Time Sharps a popular sports handicapping service that launched last football season.
A deal with undisclosed terms is the first announced acquisition of the second quarter of 2015. Sports Information Traders which is owned by lead handicapper Jon Price has acquired Big Time Sharps, otherwise known as BTS Analytics, through one of the biggest acquisitions in the last decade aside from Big Stick Medias buyout of Don Best Sports for $16,740,000. Bill Davis ,who is the analytical genius behind BTS Picks and mathematician behind the companies famed formula released a statement earlier this week when news originally broke of the potential acquisition, saying that he’s looking forward to joining one of the biggest and most reputable handicapping services in the country as he finalizes his deal to part of the team at Sports Information Traders.
Bill Davis’ formula gained him great acclaim throughout the sports handicapping world over the last 10 years as he’s been one of the first to prove that through the use of mathematics and various algorithms of probability, the outcome of sporting events can be predicted accurately with around a 70% success rate, which is far and beyond what most handicappers and touts are capable of. It’s understood that Professor Davis’ equation is the root cause of SIT Consulting’s purchase, as they will own the exclusive rights to Bill Davis’ famed proprietary “Davis Equation.”
Jon Price, whom also has a background in mathematics like Professor Davis, has always relied on formulas for his picks as well, and has openly been a fan of Bill Davis’ Davis Equation for many years. Mr. Price often touts about sparing no expense in delivering the absolute best possible product, and he feels like this latest acquisition of BTS Analytics and Bill Davis’ formula are a progressive step in ensuring that goal. This deal should lead the way for more acquisitions and mergers in the sports betting tips industry.
