We continue today with guest columns from Andiamo chef Joseph Parrino at The D Las Vegas downtown, Las Vegas Business Academy President Max Tappeiner and Antioco Carrillo, executive director of Aid for AIDS of Nevada, with his preview of AFAN’s Black & White Party on Saturday at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel: On March 10, 1983, a 32-year-old man was Southern Nevada’s first AIDS death, and just 18 days later, the second local AIDS death occurred.
