China's weibo users cry foul after delay to national lottery's live TV draw

The Ministry of Civil Affairs apologised yesterday after the 9.30pm live television broadcast of Sunday’s draw of the winning numbers in China’s Welfare Lottery – with a total jackpot of 710 million yuan – was cancelled without explanation. Ticket holders were finally told the winning numbers two hours later – via a message on the Welfare Lottery authority’s official microblog.
