While February 2015 will go down in history as the coldest on record for Connecticut, it just might be remembered as a real scorcher for Jose Medrano of Danbury, who won a $1,000,000 prize playing Powerball on Feb. 21. The winning Powerball numbers on Feb/ 21 were 10, 14, 18, 34, 51, and the Powerball number was 26. Medrano’s first five “Quick Pick” ticket numbers were a perfect match, but he missed the Powerball number. In total, 6,804 winning Powerball tickets were sold statewide for that date with prizes ranging from $4 to $1,000,000.
