Slovakian-based sportsbook DOXXbet has expanded its operations in the African region by launching its SportsBox Betting Terminal in Nigeria.

The Nation reported that DOXXbet’s offering is expected to intensify the local sports betting market after its offering has been made available in the Nigerian market.

For DOXXbet, the launch of its sports betting platform in Nigeria is proof of its plans to expand throughout the African region. Doxxbet Nigeria Managing Director Andrej Pavlo has described the launch as “an important milestone” since the platform was launched in Liberia four years ago.

“We are looking to expand throughout the African continent and it was important that we have a major presence in Nigeria,” Pavlo said, according to the news report. “The Nigerian sport-betting market continues to be amongst the fastest growing markets in the world and I believe will give us a solid foundation to expand our African operations after launching in Liberia four years ago.”
