Gaming industry emerges from session unchanged

The gaming industry in West Virginia remains unchanged following the completion of the 60-day legislative session despite lots of discussion by lawmakers during the last two months. The House of Delegates decided to put a bill eliminating the subsidy for greyhound racing into a study resolution while the state Senate rejected a governor’s bill, passed by the House , which would have taken the money from the racetrack development fund and placed it into the state budget.
