Hanahan man wins $250,000 in lottery

For seven years, Rory Mains, a project manager for Family Dollar, made a habit of stopping to buy lottery tickets while traveling for work, according to a news release from the S.C. Education Lottery. He told the agency he’s bought his last ticket after a Diamond 9s scratch-off he bought Wednesday at a Short Stop store in Ridgeland turned out to be a winner.
