Kansas Lottery sales hot, casino revenue slumps

The Kansas Lottery reported near-record sales of $245 million in the last fiscal year, while revenue from the state’s casinos in Dodge City, Mulvane and Kansas City, Kan., was projected to fall a second consecutive year, officials said Tuesday. Terry Presta, executive director of the Kansas Lottery, said the agency would renew a push to amend Kansas law to make it illegal for minors to purchase lottery tickets.
