Here’s a head-scratcher: A governor who spends 60 percent of the year out of state – just to win support from 1 percent of the electorate – considers state legislative hearings a poor use of government time. But Gov. Christie is overlooking the obvious: If lawmakers can’t investigate, they can’t legislate, and they’ve been kept in the dark on two matters that are covered with governor’s paw prints.
