Since the North Carolina Education Lottery began selling tickets in 2006, Robeson County schools have benefited to the tune of more than $63 million from the proceeds. But Robeson County residents have spent a lot more than that on the lottery during that time, which is why at least one local legislator suggets the formula for distributing the money be redone.
