A Newark man won $5 million after buying a scratcher ticket that happened to bear the number 13 — on Friday the 13th. Ricardo Aguilar purchased the scratcher at Madiera Discount Liquor, at 6714 Thorton Avenue in Newark, according to a news release from the California Lottery.
