Gov. Mark Dayton accepted Minnesota State Lottery director Edwin Van Petten’s resignation Friday after a news report that the director spent lavishly on travel and received state reimbursement for staying in his own timeshare. “He offered his resignation and it was accepted,” Dayton said.
