A Modesto man’s lucky hunch paid off when after winning $1,000 on a lottery scratcher he bought more tickets and learned he was the winner of a $10 million prize. California lottery officials say Rodney Meadows was out running errands Nov. 23 when he decided to pick up some $30 California Lottery 30th anniversary scratcher tickets at a Modesto store.
