Oswego resident John Groth won a Lucky Day Lotto jackpot prize of $1,050,000 when his Quick Pick ticket matched all five numbers – 12 – 17 – 27 – 28 – 40 – in the Sunday, Aug. 9, evening drawing, according to a press release from the Illinois Lottery. Groth buys a Lucky Day Lotto Quick Pick ticket twice a week.
