"Tax on sick people" sees hospitals make A 1m from parking charges

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital took in A 1.49m from visitor parking in 2014-15, followed by the West Suffolk Hospital on A 1.3m, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn on A 1.09m, and the James Paget University Hospitals in Gorleston on A 1m. “Why is it that patients in Wales and Scotland do not have to pay to park? It is a postcode lottery and a tax on sick people who sometimes struggle to pay.”
