The Florida Lottery's higher-priced scratch-offs could be scrapped

The Florida Lottery’s love affair with scratch-off games, which are driving ticket sales and revenue into state coffers, would be sharply scaled-back under proposed legislation. Sen. Tom Lee, R-Brandon, and Rep. Frank Artiles, R-Miami, proposed measures this week that would cap the number of games at 20 – and limit their price-tag to $5 a ticket.
