The North Carolina Education Lottery says the winning ticket was purchased Aug. 8 and expires Feb. 4. The winning ticket is worth $173,578. A statement from the lottery says the ticket was purchased at a Quik Chek on Sunset Avenue in Asheboro and matched all five balls in the drawing.
