2D view a statement of intent for PKR Poker

05 June 2015, London –   Online gaming operator PKR.com has this week added a button to its poker tables which allows players to switch instantly between the full 3D view and a new, slimmed down 2D option. The new view is designed with multi-tablers and fans of rival sites in mind, and will complement rather than compete with the signature 3D view.

According to Head of Content & PR Dan Grant, this development is the next key phase in the gaming firm’s efforts to broaden its appeal. “Clearly our 3D poker software remains our most important product, but a really good 2D option was long overdue. It’s vital that we have something competitive to offer the many players to whom 3D didn’t really appeal, as well as former PKR players whose tastes or game activity may have changed over time. This development – along with the revamp of our Sit & Go offering, increased investment in our loyalty programme and upcoming improvements to our sports, casino and website – shows players we mean business.”

The release of PKR Poker’s 2D view follows on from the late 2014 launch of PKR Poker version 3.0 which saw a significant increase in hands per hour in tandem with key improvements to the interface. Download PKR Poker here.

Philippine DOJ secretary quizzes immigration execs over Bo Wang case

Philippine Justice Secretary Leila de Lima summoned two immigration commissioners who voted temporary release for Chinese fugitive Bo Wang.

Wang got arrested in February and upon a request from the Chinese government, the Philippine Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID) ordered Bo deported on March 5. However, Bo’s camp moved for reconsideration of the deportation order, and he was eventually taken off the Philippine government’s blacklist.

The Chinese government then cancelled Bo’s passport and sent a representative to personally hand the additional documents to the BID to prove that he is a fugitive.

Immigration Chief Siegfred Mison voted in favor of the Chinese Embassy to deport Wang, but he was outvoted by commissioners Abdullah Mangotara and Gilbert Respizo, who favored granting Wang’s temporary release.

New Jersey, Nevada and Delaware, which we’re referring to. I think we’re waiting for that second domino to fall or the 4th, he 5th or the 6th one including the largest state, California obviously is the biggest domino of this entirely new american eccentric poker boom,” said Dalla.

Lee Davy shares five best practices he believes should be introduced in the wake of the recent cheating allegations in the $10,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold’em Championship at the World Series of Poker.

I am sitting in the media room minding my own business. In walks a stranger. He wants to know why no one in the room has covered one of the most interesting stories of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) thus far. He wants to know why nobody is covering the fact that a complete nobody from Moldova is beating some of the world’s greatest players in the $10,000 Heads-Up No Limit Hold’em (NLHE) World Championships?

He was talking about Valeriu Coca.

Now everyone is talking about Valeriu Coca.
