Over 1 in 5 of Brits Wouldn’t Give Up Gaming For A Year or Anything Less Than £50,000

Leading mobile casino, LeoVegas.com, conducted an independent survey to investigate how much people would have to be paid in order to give up some of their most prized possessions.

Over a third (34%) of Brits say they wouldn’t give up their mobile phone for a year for anything less than £50,000 –  almost double the national average salary. And nearly 1 in 10 of us (7%) are so dependent on our mobile phone that we would only consider letting go of our device for at least £1m.

Mobile phones aren’t the only precious items in our lives, with games (video, computer and mobile) also being something people would hate to give up. Over 1 in 5 of us (21%) would have to be paid over £50,000 to go without them for a year.

The cities which would find giving up gaming the hardest are:

Lawmakers want three casino in North Jersey; Hard Rock unveils casino plans in Meadowlands

New Jersey lawmakers introduced a bill that would allow not just two but three new casinos in the northern part of the state.

Assemblyman Ralph Caputo, one of the sponsors of the bill, announced on Monday that they’ve introduced a proposed constitutional amendment which, if passed by the Legislature, would have to be approved by voters to launch three casinos in North Jersey.

South Jersey legislators stated that they did not approve of the proposed bill, as additional casinos would have a negative effect on the struggling Atlantic City gambling industry.

In 2014, four casinos closed and the city posted a decline in annual gaming revenue for eighth consecutive year.

The parties did not disclose the deal amount, but Re/Code reported that Yahoo could have paid at least $20m to stream the game in exchange for advertising rights, citing executives who were familiar with the industry.

The NFL has advertising partnerships with NBC and FOX but for the first time, the NFL games will be streaming one of its regular season games online.

Becky’s Affiliated: Differentiating in the crowded UK sportsbetting market- Liam Casey on Tailorbet

Liam Casey is the CEO of Tailorbet, an innovative betting exchange that removes the role of the bookmaker and puts the power into the hands of the users by facilitating a peer-to-peer system.  With Tailorbet, users are able to generate their own customized real money bets, currently the only betting exchange platform on the market with such an offering.

Casey has over twelve years of experience in the online gambling industry and identified an opportunity in the UK sportsbetting market where there is currently a lack of product differentiation.  Striking a B2B deal with Tailorbet allows bookmakers the opportunity to offer a more personalized product to their customers, something to help differentiate them from the other traditional fixed-odds bookies out there.

The plans for Tailorbet are promising and aggressive, including the push of a B2C offering this summer and a social media strategy rollout.  To learn more about Tailorbet, the importance of differentiation, customisation and personalisation, I met with Casey here in London for an interview.

Becky Liggero: Thank you for joining me today, Liam, lets start with you explaining why Tailorbet is unique in the industry and why it has revolutionized the betting exchange industry.
