YouTube Stars ProSyndicate & TmarTn in CS:GO Skin Betting Scandal

YouTube stars ProSyndicate and TmarTn have been caught with their pants down after it comes to light that they have been skin betting on a gambling site they own without full disclosure.

Rahul Sood is the founder of Unikrn, the leading eSports betting service on the interweb. So when he stood up at an eSports Betting Summit in London and expressed his concern over the unregulated growth of skin betting, he had my attention.

You see, Sood is not only a video game nut, but he is also a father, and it was a discussion with his 13-year old son about skin betting on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) that prompted Sood to dig a little deeper. After the dirt had been cleared Sood found, via Eilers Research, that punters wagered $800m on skin betting in 2015 compared to $250m wagered on the standard eSports odds market.

“Betting skins is already huge,” Sood told the audience, “and it’s about to get bigger.”

Lady luck to smile down on Macau casinos this summer

After months of having a bearish outlook, analysts are suddenly feeling optimistic about Macau’s casino stocks over the near term.

Financial news website Barron’s Asia reported that analysts are expecting Macau casino stocks to see a summer rally after its prices have fallen 17 percent from their spring highs.

In June, Macau’s gross gaming revenue plunges 8.5% to MOP15.88 billion (US$1.99 billion) – the lowest monthly tally of China’s premier gaming hub since September 2010, when the aggregate for such revenue was MOP15.30 billion [US$ 1.91 billion].

But the story of Macau’s casino will be different and more positive this month compared in June, according to the analysts.

Esports Integrity Coalition Launched With Ian Smith Appointed As The First Esports Integrity Commissioner

The esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC) was officially launched today in London, where media and attendees were introduced to the first esports Integrity Commissioner Ian Smith. ESIC is a not for profit members’ association created to provide an overarching integrity function for professional esports. In particular, in response to the rapidly increasing threat of betting fraud arising from a burgeoning esports betting market, the aim of ESIC is to be the recognised guardian of the integrity of esports and to take responsibility for disruption, prevention, investigation and prosecution of all forms of cheating, including, but not limited to, match manipulation and doping.

ESIC is open to all professional esports stakeholders and will operate with as much openness and transparency as possible. Policy and projects will be determined by the members for the members in the interests of esports.

ESIC has created a Programme for acceptance and implementation by professional esports stakeholders – primarily tournament organisers and platforms, games publishers and licenced and regulated bookmakers offering esports betting markets – that consists of a Participant Code of Conduct, an Anti-Corruption Code, an Anti-Doping Policy and an independent Disciplinary Procedure based on principles of natural justice. The Programme can be found published in full on the ESIC website – www.esportsintegrity.com

The ESIC Programme was designed to provide solutions for the threats to esports integrity identified by the Threat Assessment carried out in 2015 and also available on the ESIC website. The Programme owes a debt to cricket’s anti-corruption programme, widely acknowledged as one of the best systems in traditional sports having evolved over a decade and a half of dealing with real and challenging corruption and match-fixing cases in multiple jurisdictions.

WSOP Review: Brandon Shack-Harris Doing Things The Right Way

The 2014 World Series of Poker Player of the Year runner-up has made his mark on the 2016 festival by winning the Pot Limit Omaha 8-Handed Championship, and most importantly, he did it the right way.

The year is 2014, and Brandon Shack-Harris is closer to the top of the world as he has ever been. With nine cashes, five final tables, and his first-ever gold bracelet, earned after beating 1,128 entrants in a $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) event, he finishes second to George Danzer in one of the most riveting finishes to a Player of the Year (POY) race in recent times.

And yet, quite remarkably, there were some doubts from the terraces. Shack-Harris’s four close shaves, including two runner-up finishes to John Hennigan in the Poker Player’s Championship, and that man Danzer in the Seven Card Razz Championship, prompted some to question whether he had what it took to ‘get the job done’.

WSOP Review: Andrew Lichtenberger From Gut Bugs to Bracelets and Hugs

Andrew Lichtenberger continues his remarkable transformation in all aspects of his life after winning his first World Series of Poker bracelet in Event #52: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em.

Andrew Lichtenberger didn’t always look like Gandalf. Not that long ago he looked like your average online grinder wearing more patches than a Formula 1 driver with the baseball cap to boot.

He was one of the most feared players on the circuit, particularly online, where the name luckychewy became one of the most famous pseudonyms in poker. And yet behind that innocent face lived a world of pain. Lichtenberger couldn’t sleep; his asthma made it difficult to breathe, and a processed food diet created terrible digestion and gut issues.

Robynne Chutkan, author of the Microbiome Solution: A Radical New Way to Heal Your Body had this to say about gut health and its partnership with the brain.

Ryan Giggs Leaves United After 29-Years Showing a Lack of Foresight on Behalf of Club Officials

Ryan Giggs has left Manchester United after 29-years at the club showing that the men who run things never had a clear vision of a life post-Sir Alex Ferguson.

As parents of Manchester United fans are figuring out how much it’s going to cost to have the name Ibrahimovic sewn into the back of their kid’s expensive football shirts, I can’t help wondering where it all went wrong?

I think it was 2008?

Manchester United is a club designed to win things. A mentality imprinted into the club’s DNA.

Macau police bust loan shark gang that preyed on casino dealers

Macau authorities have broken up a group of loan sharks that preyed on casino dealers.

On Monday, Macau Business Daily reported that local police had arrested 10 individuals suspected of targeting casino staff, particularly dealers, with high-interest loans. The group has reportedly been operating in Macau for around five years and police aren’t ruling out further arrests.

Acting on a tip-off received this February, police mounted raids on multiple locations last week. The raids turned up evidence that the group had about 120 debtors currently owing around MOP 4m (US $500k). In addition to computers and other records, police also seized a cache of debtors’ bankcards and employee ID cards.

Police said the sharks required debtors to surrender their employee ID cards until their debt was repaid. If the debtor was having difficulty repaying the debt, the sharks would send four or five people to the individual’s station at the casino to demand repayment and cause a disturbance as an extra incentive to make with the money.
