Late game surge sends Choong Kian Weng to the top of Day 1A; Norbert Koh wins the NLH 1Day

Poipet, Cambodia, July 4, 2017 – Day 1A of the APT Main Event is in the books and sitting at the top is a very familiar face, Malaysia’s Choong Kian Weng. Two weeks ago Weng crushed the APT Macau Main Event to capture his first-ever APT championship title.3

Main Event Day 1A Chip Leader, Choong Kian Weng

The early rounds didn’t start off very well for Weng. He was one of the first players to hit the rail but with late registration still open, he quickly re-entered. On his second bullet, Weng’s stack fluctuated in and out of average stack, not really getting too big nor too short. It was only during the final hands of the night did his stack soar to the leader’s seat after shipping in two massive pots.

The first winning hand saw three players stare down a flop of 10♦ 6♣ 3♦. One player shoved, and without batting an eyelash Weng joined him, putting himself at risk of elimination. Seeing the heated action, the third player opted to fold while revealing his 7♦ 5♦ flush draw hole cards. At the showdown, Weng turned over 10♠ 5♥top pair and was up against his opponent’s A♦ 2♦ nut flush draw. The 7♥ turn and 10♥ river secured Weng the victory and he was awarded a huge double up.

Lawmaker itching to legalize sports betting in West Virginia

The surprise decision of the U.S. Supreme Court to hear arguments in a case that aims to legalize sports betting has given lawmakers a renewed hope to introduce a pro-sports betting bill in West Virginia.

Democratic Delegate Shawn Fluharty of Ohio believes that allowing sports betting will provide additional revenue for the cash-strapped state and the developments in the Supreme Court is a welcome news for the legislators, according to Charleston Gazette-Mail.

Fluharty, who have sponsored a bill to legalize sports betting at West Virginia’s casinos during the 2017 regular session, wants to get ahead in other neighboring states in allowing sports betting like what they did when West Virginia allowed racetrack video lottery in the early 1990s and table games in the early 2000s.

“If we’re able to get in front of this, we might be able to get out ahead of the other states for a few years,” Fluharty said. “The state desperately needs to generate new revenue.”

WSOP Review: Artur Rudziankov wins gold in Event #58: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em.

Artur Rudziankov has won the first bracelet for the Czech Republic this summer after outlasting 1,763 players in Event #58: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em.

It hasn’t been an easy time for poker players living in the Czech Republic, after the government’s decision to regulate the online poker business, resulting in players staring at closed for business signs the same way a farmer looks at withered vegetables during a bad season.

But all the fuss hasn’t created any ring rust in the mind of Artur Rudziankov after the 29-year old student from the Czech Republic won the top prize of $395,918 in Event #58: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em.

Rudziankov came into the final as the chip leader, but he began to crash and burn like an unknown asteroid allowing Mario Prats and Christian Rudolph to take charge. But it was only a temporary blip as Rudziankov used every inch of his 2015 $1k runner-up experience to recover.

Gambling as the canary, Why I’m running for Israel’s parliament

I’m running for a seat in Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, and any Jewish person in the world can vote for me, Israeli citizen or not. Seriously. Before I explain exactly how, here’s why I’m running.

Arguably the most famous Holocaust poem ever written was penned by a Lutheran Pastor. His name was Martin Niemöller. You’ve probably heard his poem before. It starts like this:

“First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out, because I was not a socialist.”

It continues with trade unionists, then Jews, “Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me.” It’s one of those things they make you memorize as a kid, especially a Jewish kid in Jewish day school.

Christian Scalzi making dreams come true for the players of partypoker

Lee Davy talks to the Tournament Director, Christian Scalzi, about his new partnership with partypoker, the LIVE MILLIONS brand, Button Ante concept, and their forthcoming $9m GTD partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Sochi event in Russia.

One mistake that live poker tour operators have made in the past, is they take out the plaster of Paris and begin to shape a live festival structure that they like.

Of course, this is batshit crazy, because what live poker tour operators should be doing is taking that plaster and creating a masterpiece that their players will love.

Now, this isn’t easy when you are a live tour operator dealing with so many diverse cultures and languages. How do you know what your people believe; who they look up to; who they trust; what they’re afraid of; what they yearn for; what they are hungry for?

Implementing Inbet experience to products optimizations for government regulation for the LATAM and North America

InBet is a b2b solutions provider for lottery, betting, gaming and amusement industries. Proud to be active in more than two dozens countries globally, we have amassed over 15 years of experience in full-cycle product development. Along with lots of commercial lotteries two countries have trusted us the mission of supplying their national lotteries.

Our particular strength is in meticulously adjusting our solutions to the most challenging national and legal environments. Relying on extensive research and our vast expertise with some of the most dynamic and heavily regulated markets like Russia and Kazakhstan, we tailor our products to meet the strictest regulatory standards worldwide. Today’s booming betting & gambling markets of Latin America and some African countries are something that we have already been through. The patterns of industry growth and regulatory trends here are similar to what was happening in CIS markets not long ago – and here in InBet we know exactly how to go about it. Here are just a few examples.

Classic slots & RNG games enjoy tremendous popularity across the globe, yet in many regions legislators have put restrictions on them. In order to help our clients who operate under such regulations to meet the massive demand for slots & RNGs, we came up with a tool that keeps the attractiveness of slot machines without meeting the legal definition thereof. Animations is based on making bets on real-life events. This solution has been approved and certified by BMM Testlabs – the world’s leading gaming certification entity. Another acclaimed solution that we have developed is called the lottery license optimization. It helps to connect players to lotteries that take place in offshore jurisdictions, where draws occur once in every 20 seconds or even more often.

When it comes to meeting regulation requirements, we don’t play hit or miss. Every product we offer undergoes scrutiny by a team of lawyers, which consists of both our employees and local attorneys. We maintain best practices in terms of ensuring perfect legality of our solutions and certifying them according to local legislation.

Football is in the air. Here at InBet, we share many of our friends’ and customers’ passion for the Game. We are thrilled to unveil our new game, which combines elements of both dynamic action and football drama. The idea behind it was the drive to replicate one of the most nail-biting moments of the Game – a penalty. Will the kicker be victorious, or will the goalkeeper make an unlikely epic save? Will the shot be powerfully placed in the top corner, or volleyed to the center? Penalty Kick’s 3D simulation will keep you guessing until the very last second.

Betting on wide range of outcomes makes for extra excitement. One of the key decisions that the player takes is predicting where the ball will be placed:

• Below the crossbar (upper row, cells 1 to 8): coefficient 3.0;

Aladdin’s Lamp and Pirate Cave: The new addition to the InBet Games’ portfolio

Slots are at the heart of every gaming hall, either physical or online. Every spin of colorful reels fascinates and thrills the player, keeping them enchanted until they reach either the bottom of their wallet or the magical pot of gold. In order to keep the sorcery alive, here at InBet Games we relentlessly refine both the exterior and the mechanics of our slots in order to make them even more engaging.

With HTML5 responsiveness, HD graphics and high quality animations, our slots are the new incarnation of the classic format. Each game is equipped with a mobile optimization engine, tasked to adjust screen resolution and optimize the gaming process for better mobile performance. This ensures players’ engagement and keeps the batteries of their gadgets alive for a longer time.

The extensive pool of InBet slots has recently seen new entries, and we are delighted to announce the arrival of two fresh games: Aladdin’s Lamp and Pirate Cave.

Aladdin’s story is the one that have inspired countless generations of adventurers and gamblers: a peasant-turned-royalty, he played big and risked everything in his quest for love. Authentic design of the interface combined with smart gameplay will immerse the gambler in the world of the Medieval Middle Eastern treasure hunters. One feature that reviewers have praised specifically is the fun execution of the double or nothing option: squeezed between a street vender and a clammy guard, you will have to pick one of the hidden cards and hope it is of a higher value than the one exposed by the vender.
