Margaret Loughrey, who won the EuroMillions jackpot in December 2013, was “highly intoxicated” on vodka when the offence took place in May. Loughrey, 50, of Co Tyrone, Ireland, who bought the winning ticket on her way home from the Jobcentre and has given away half her fortune to help the needy, also admitted criminal damage. Her lawyer Stephen Chapman told the court in Strabane: “She is a woman with a number of advantages and she accepts that her behaviour on this night was totally unacceptable.
