When I was a kid growing up in Manchester, England, the hardest kid in school was called The Cock. Later, when I moved to Ogmore Valley, Wales, you were called The Cock for an entirely different reason.

The Cock didn’t have many friends, usually two sidekicks – no more. And when you carry the moniker of the largest online poker room in the world I imagine the same rings true.

But to their credit, PokerStars are starting to make friends in the playground. A few weeks back they partnered with The World Poker Tour (WPT) in a bid to increase attendances at their PokerStars Championships in Europe, and today they announced a partnership with Genting Casinos UK.
