Oulala Games scores first premier league partnership

Daily fantasy football platform Oulala Games has chalked up its first Premier League football club partnership with Leicester City.

Under the deal, Oulala Games Ltd. has created a Leicester City branded version of the game, which was launched on Oulala.com ahead of Leicester–Newcastle United game on November 21st. The partnership will provide the fantasy sports site with extensive exposure within Leicester City’s stadium and the team’s website LCFC.com, the club’s digital channels and within match day programs.

“This partnership is symbolic for Oulala. Leicester City has been able to do great things, and the club has enjoyed a fantastic start to the season. We believe there are a number of synergies between their business and ours, and that we share many of the same values,” Valery Bollier, CEO of Oulala Games. “Oulala is proud to be partnering with such an efficient, forward thinking organisation, one which we believe will continue to go from strength to strength.”

“We’re delighted to partner with Oulala to bring supporters a new way to game here at Leicester City. Fantasy Football is a relatively established platform in the UK and this will give supporters the chance to pick their sides on their own bespoke-branding LCFC website, added Ian Flanagan, Commercial Director at Leicester City Football Club. “This partnership also adds to our global appeal – Fantasy Football is a huge and growing industry in countries such as the US and it will provide those Foxes supporters Stateside and elsewhere an opportunity to take part in the LCFC experience.”

Premier League Week 13 Review: Leicester Move to the Top

A Jamie Vardy inspired Leicester City are the Premier League leaders after a thumping display away at St James Park; Liverpool Slam Four Past Man City.

The mugshot of Leicester City is currently taking centre stage in the gallery of the glorious. Claudio Ranieri’s men are the unlikeliest of Premier League leaders. Jamie Vardy is the unlikeliest of Premier League top goalscorers.

For all of his industry and hard work, Vardy couldn’t hit a barn door from five yards last year. On Saturday, he fired the first of three Leicester goals, in a lopsided affair away at Newcastle. It was a goal that equalled the Premier League best-ever goalscoring streak of 10 – a record Ruud van Nistelrooy once created in the very same stadium when playing for Man Utd. Don’t put it past the young man to make it 11 next week.

Leicester broke with pace.

Wayne Rooney Slaps WWE Wrestler Wade Barrett

Manchester United star Wayne Rooney lays the Smackdown on WWE wrestler and Preston North End fan Wade Barrett.

Wayne Rooney is the greatest Dad in the world.

Captaining Manchester United and scoring more goals for your country than anyone alive or dead are great achievements. But they both pale into insignificance to the act of slapping a WWE wrestler to the floor in front of your devoted son.

That’s exactly what happened on Monday night when Rooney was confronted by 6ft 7 inch WWE wrestler Wade Barrett at the Manchester Arena.

Premier League Week 12 Review: Vardy and Ozil Record Breaking

Premier League Week 12 Review sees Jamie Vardy and Mesut Ozil breaking Premier League records; Chelsea continuing to free fall and Newcastle scraping out of the bottom three.

Chelsea is like a beautiful woman after too many fractured face lifts. They are a mess. Last year, at this stage of the competition, they were romping away with the title with ten victories in their first 12-games, and yet to taste defeat. After this weekend’s loss away to Stoke they remain three points off the relegation places and have suffered their seventh defeat of the campaign.

There will be new champions this year. That is without a doubt. The new question is whether Chelsea will be playing Champions League football in 2016/17? There hasn’t been a team in Premier League history that has made the top five positions after being in this spot.

They stink worse than a Ryan Shawcross armpit.

French police are questioning Real Madrid star Karim Benzema in connection with an alleged sex tape blackmail plot against his fellow French colleague Matthieu Valbuena.

Karim Benzema is spending the night behind bars after being questioned by French police in connection with a conspiracy to blackmail Lyon player Matthieu Valbuena.

Benzema’s legal team issued a statement declaring their client’s innocence and to assert he was only helping with enquiries. Benzema is said to have freely walked into a police station in Versailles to help with the case.

The French press has reported that someone stole a video of Valbuena involved in a sexual act. It was on his mobile phone. It’s unknown whether Valbuena was caught with his pants down in the presence of male, female or bestial company.

Baseball gambling snafu leaves Tokyo Olympic execs reeling

Tokyo Olympics officials were dismayed by the news of a betting scandal involving Japan’s top baseball team.

On Wednesday, Yomiuri Giants President Hiroshi Kubo formally apologized after it was found out that two more pitchers from his team gambled on baseball games. The Giants is Japan’s New York Yankees in terms of popularity.

Early this month, Nippon Professional Baseball revealed that pitcher Satoshi Fukuda was involved in betting on the games. Two weeks later, the professional domestic league followed it up with two more players, Shoki Kasahara and Ryuya Matsumoto, just days before Japan’s version of the World Series begins.

Gambling, including most sports betting, is illegal in the country, but it remains unclear if the players will face charges.

More Giants pitchers caught up in betting scandal

A probe on illegal betting involving a Japanese baseball player has led to discovery of two more players betting on baseball games.

Two more Yomiuri Giants pitchers were found to be betting on baseball games, an investigative panel the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) led by lawyer Motonari Otsuru said Wednesday, following revelations earlier this month that pitcher Satoshi Fukuda was involved.

NPB submitted an interim report to NPB Commissioner Katsuhiko Kumazaki, saying that Shoki Kasahara and Ryuya Matsumoto were involved in betting.

The panel found no evidence in its investigation that more Giants players were involved and said none of the three players fix the games or play in the games they were betting on, adding that Kasahara and Matsumoto did not bet on any Giants games.

Botemania negotiating Barca sponsorship; TitanBet ink Sheffield Wednesday

The deal has yet to officially close, but Spanish media is reporting that online gambling operator Botemania is negotiating a major sponsorship deal with football powerhouse FC Barcelona.

Earlier this month, Mundo Deportivo reported that Barca had inked a deal to wear Botemania’s logo on the club’s training kit. Assuming it comes to fruition, the four-year deal, which is said to be worth €80m, would commence with the 2016-17 season.

Canadian online gambling operator Intertain acquired the Botemania brand from UK gaming operator Gamesys in February. Breaking free of its bingo roots, Botemania was the first Spanish-licensed operator to launch a slots offering following the country giving the word this June.

South Korean eSports world rocked by latest match fixing scandal

The eSports world has been rocked by another match-fixing scandal, underscoring the sports’ vulnerability to manipulation.

Early Monday, South Korean media began reporting that 12 individuals had been arrested in connection with a fixing scandal linked to Prime, a local StarCraft II team. The arrested figures include Prime coach Gerrard (Park Wae-Wik) and pro player YoDa (Choi Byeong-Heon), both of whom have been banned for life from competitive play in sanctioned eSports matches.

Others who found themselves under arrest include team member BBoongBBoong (Choi Jong-Hyuk) and former gamer and current eSports journalist Enough (Seong Jun-mo). Enough reportedly acted as a broker between players and two financial backers with ties to organized crime rings.

An investigation by the Changwon Regional Prosecutor’s Office and the Korean e-Sports Association (KeSPA) determined that a total of five matches in the Proleague and Global StarCraft II League (GSL) competitions this year were reportedly subject to tampering. KeSPA said they first got wind of the scandal via an anonymous tipster seeking a reward.

Cavs still favorite to win 2015-16 NBA title

The 2015-16 NBA season is right around the corner and the one thing that everybody wants to predict is which team will take home the Larry O’Brien trophy?

So before the October 27 season debut comes, let’s take a look at some future bets on some of the teams that can win the championship.

Since the Golden State Warriors won the championship for the 2014-15 season, the team they defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers became the odds-on favorite at 3/1 and Lebron James himself is the favorite to win the MVP at 11/4.

Although James and the Cavs begin the season as favorites to win the NBA title, the odds may not be completely on their side as Kyrie Irving remains sidelined following the surgery and there is no timeline for his return. Power forward Tristan Thompson has reportedly rejected the Cavs’ five-year $80m contract. Iman Shumpert will miss likely miss at least two months with a wrist injury and Anderson Varejao is working his way back from a season-ending Achilles injury. Matthew Dellavedova, J.R. Smith and Timofey Mosgov all missed the preseason games with injuries.

Premier League Week 9 Review: It’s Time for Video Replays

Lee Davy brings you a full update of the ninth week of Premier League action including two new managers, a goal glut at Newcastle and an opinion on video replay technology.

After battling through hordes of Irish and Argentinean rugby fans on my way through Cardiff, today, I found myself comparing the two sports of rugby and football. Three things came to mind, one of which was brought on by the weekend’s Premier League action.

For one, the supporters were all sharing a beer while watching the Australia v Scotland match. Football fans have been known to share the odd beer glass, but not the contents.

The second major difference is the way the matches are refereed. In rugby, the man in the middle is the boss. The players know it, the managers know it, and the fans know it. It makes for a faster-flowing game. Decisions are not contested. Respect is the number one priority. Giants of men, full of testosterone, know their place within this hierarchy.

Dolphins – New Coach, New Attitude?

Are you a sports betting expert who wants to share an opinion on a game? Contact [email protected] for more details.

Unless you have been living under a rock, you are aware of the big shakeup surrounding the Miami Dolphins. And the question has to be raised with regard to what kind of an effect the changes are going to have on this squad going into their matchup against the Tennessee Titans (1 PM ET in Nashville), who despite their 1-3 record, have played surprisingly well for a squad that won just two games last year and is starting a raw rookie at quarterback.

Football bettors are hearing the ugly stories that have come out of Miami, which detailed the lack of control Joe Philbin had over his locker room, and the contentious relationship between the scout team and QB Ryan Tannehill, who reportedly threw a hissy fit whenever he got picked off in practice.

Philbin was said to be walking on egg shells entering the season, and he got his ouster after a drab 27-14 loss to the New York Jets in London. The bye week was conveniently upon them, and to the surprise of some, tight ends coach Dan Campbell, a former NFL player, was named to replace Philbin on an interim basis.
