Wynn Las Vegas is prepping up for the March Madness as it plan to launch a sports betting app next month.
Wynn Las Vegas is launching a sports betting app in February, which will focus on Nevada residents and the casino’s out-of-state visitors and hotel guests, Wynn sportsbook head John Avello told Legal Sports Report.
“We see it as not only a vehicle for the people that live in the state of Nevada, but for our house guests, who don’t have to come to the sportsbook if they’re at the pool or the club,” Avello said. “So we think it will be good for both those types of users.”
The app, which is two years in the making, will not make it to the Super Bowl but will start taking bets for the March Madness or the NCAA Men’s Basketball. Betting on horses is expected to be rolled out in the next six months. Wynn is working with sports betting app provider Miomni Gaming, which also provided betting app to Boyd Gaming, Paddy Power and another casino in Reno, Atlantis Casino.
