A state judge will hear arguments Thursday in three separate lawsuits challenging the state Gaming Commission’s 2014 decision to award the Boston-area casino license to Wynn.

British Open 2014 champ Rory McIlroy announced on Wednesday that he won’t be playing in the next week’s British Open on the Old Course in St. Andrews.
McIlroy posted a picture on his Instagram account showing his injured left ankle due to ruptured ligament from playing soccer with friends in Northern Ireland on Saturday.
“After much consideration, I have decided not to play in the Open Championship at St. Andrews. I’m taking a long term view of this injury and, although rehab is progressing well, I want to come back to tournament play when I feel 100% healthy and 100% competitive. Thank you for all your support and best wishes. I hope to be back on the course as soon as I can,” wrote McIlroy.
Prior to announcement, he also posted another picture on his Instagram account saying that he was still trying to assess the extent of injury and treatment plan day by day and was still hopeful to recover in time for The Open, but decided two days later that it was not worth risking a full recovery.

Macau casino junket investor Iao Kun Group Holdings Ltd. (IKGH) says it would like a do-over for the first six months of 2015.
IKGH, which has a profit share in five Macau casino VIP gaming rooms, says rolling chip turnover was $3.92b in H1 2015, representing a 58% decline over the same period last year. A group of taxpayers has filed a new lawsuit that seeks to derail plans for a Wynn Resorts casino in Everett and adds their objections to those of Boston Mayor Martin Walsh, who is aggressively pursuing a legal strategy against the casino. The crux of the taxpayers lawsuit, which was filed Monday in Suffolk Superior Court, is the propriety of the recent sale by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority of a 1.75-acre parcel of land to Wynn.
