“You know, we sell a lot of lottery tickets on a daily basis and this doesn’t happen every day,” said Jay Lawrence, manager at St. Albans Price Chopper — one of the stores that sold a winning ticket for $1 million. “Never one this big — we’ve had scratch tickets that were 10,000, even 20,000 before, but nothing — nothing like this,” Bourne said.
