The Malta Gaming week will this year feature a careers convention for all developers and graduates seeking a career in igaming.

SiGMA’s ultimate goal is to bring the entire gaming community together, from affiliates and operators to regulators and vendors. This year, it also wants to serve the purpose of recruitment in Malta. In the words of SiGMA’s Eman Pulis, “It is well-known that recruitment remains one of the trickiest aspects, often leaving developers in short supply and an increasing number of graduates looking to form part of the gaming industry. This is where SiGMA can provide an excellent platform on Maltese shores.”

For this reason, on day two of SiGMA16, the doors will be open to all ICT, Law, Accountancy and other graduates and student organisations from 14:00 till 18:00. Partnerships have also been cemented with the MCAST College as well as a number of private ICT institutions and universities. It is strongly encouraged that HR departments of exhibiting gaming companies be present on day two of the summit.

When asked about the partnership with SiGMA, Managing Partner at Event Planner James Cassar said: “I’ve worked on various events with SiGMA for a long time and this partnership should pave the way for some great opportunities for graduates who are seeking a career in igaming. 17 August 2016 – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: The largest sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), has just announced its collaboration with Tune Talk and Universal Music Group (UMG) for the event ONE: UNBREAKABLE WARRIORS which is set to take place at the Stadium Negara on 2 September in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. UMG will be bringing artists Faizal Tahir and Ella to perform live at the event. The card will be headlined by a massive bout between Malaysia’s own Ev “E.T.” Ting and Australia’s “Ruthless” Rob Lisita.

Today, the Rugby Football Union (RFU) has extended its existing three year integrity partnership with Sportradar, ensuring that the two parties will work together until 2019.

The RFU employed Sportradar in 2013 and since then, the leader in match fixing monitoring, prevention and intelligence has overseen activities and odds patterns across over 550 betting operators worldwide for a range of rugby union competitions and fixtures. For the next three years, Sportradar will monitor all matches of the Aviva Premiership, the Greene King IPA Championship, the Anglo Welsh Cup, the British & Irish Cup, as well as the Old Mutual Wealth series. Altogether, this coverage will total over 420 matches per year.

RFU Chief Executive Officer Ian Ritchie said: “Although rugby union is not necessarily viewed as a high risk sport when it comes to match fixing, we remain determined to be proactive in working to protect the game. We are delighted that with Sportradar by our side, we will continue to offer a credible, respected and effective defence”.

Andreas Krannich, Sportradar’s Managing Director for Integrity Services also praised the deal: “We are proud of the reputation we have built up in the rugby union ecosystem. The RFU were one of the first federations in the sport to employ our award-winning Fraud Detection System and we couldn’t be happier that we will have the opportunity to work with them for a further three years.
