Reflex to sign William Hill deal at ICE

Reflex Gaming, which marked its official entry to the digital gaming space 12 months ago, enter ICE 2017 buoyed by what Managing Director Quentin Stott has described as a “significant business win” with leading bookmakers, William Hill. The games supply contract will be signed at the Reflex stand (S8-110) on the first day of ICE.

Explaining his ICE objectives, Quentin Stott said: “As the new kids on the digital block, ICE 2016 was an intense learning experience for us. Since then, a lot has been achieved, not least the hiring of former Inspired senior executive Mat Ingram as Chief Product Officer.”

He added: “At ICE 2017 I want to show how far we’ve progressed in a very short time, establish the brand, demonstrate that we are a serious player and bring Mat and the team that he is assembling to the fore. I think that we have recruited what are some of the UK’s most successful games designers and it’s important that we are able to communicate the energy and skill set that we are bringing to the task.”

Stott continued: “I want to be able to meet the right people and to be able to explain our strategy moving forward in terms of the creation and supply of bespoke and generally available games. The portfolio will comprise hand crafted games designed for specific jurisdictions and demographics.  We will not be producing vast collections of ‘me too’ products which actually serve little or no purpose. We are a hungry company and one which goes the extra yard in pursuit of excellence.”

Brit buys dream house with Pokerstars casino jackpot success

A British PokerStars Casino player has turned gold into bricks and mortar with a massive $280,270 win at PokerStars Casino’s Winstar slot. The lucky 31-year-old from the East Midlands was “shaking like a jelly” and had to ask his mum to double check if he had really just hit the jackpot or if it was just his imagination after all five reels turned gold on the progressive jackpot slot.

He describes the emotional rollercoaster he experienced after he won, “I can’t put into words… I felt relieved I could finally buy a house, but oddly stressed and confused, elated and well, I don’t know… it was so surreal, and unbelievable.”

The money is going to go towards providing a secure future for himself, his girlfriend and her daughter, “I’ve already found a house I want. It’s a dream house, two weeks ago I would never be able to look at a house like the one I am doing, [sic] now it’s a reality”. He plans to spend the rest on treating himself to a new car and investing to further maximise this life-changing sum in the long-term to give his loved ones, “the life we all want”.

This is the second time this year that PokerStars Casino has provided a major winning moment and has paid out a mega jackpot more than $100,000, with another casino player also hitting the Winstar progressive jackpot earlier this month. More than $5 million in Winstar jackpot wins alone have been paid out since its launch on PokerStars Casino in February 2016.

Calling The Clock: WSOP Schedule; Aussie Millions & More

In this week’s Calling the Clock, Lee Davy brings you news of the 48th Annual World Series of Poker schedule, a second James Chen victory at the Aussie Millions, and much more.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has pinned the schedule for the 48th Annual poker paradise, on the canteen notice board and there is a developing theme.

Of the 74 bracelets up for grabs in the summer, three of them are online events. It’s the third successive year that online bracelet events have featured – meaning they are now as much a part of the furniture as long queues – but it will be the first time the winner of an online bracelet event won’t step foot into the Rio. The $1,000 Online Championship returns and the new $333 & $3,333 buy-in unlimited re-entry events make up the triumvirate. All three events will play out entirely on WSOP.com.

There are five more new events. The first open event will be a $10,000 Tag Team event. A $365 buy-in Giant with Day 1’s held on five consecutive Friday’s also joins the roster. The other new kids in town include a Marathon event, a $10k Omaha event, $1k Super Turbo Bounty, and a $2,500 Big Bet Mix.
