New Player in the online casino market chooses affiliate network ClickSure

Play Club Casino, a new online casino regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority, will now use the ClickSure network for their ongoing affiliate activity. Having previously being made aware of the networks ability to drive traffic and high volume, ClickSure was the first choice for the new online casino.

Launched at the end of 2016 and also regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, Play Club Casino is very much the new kid on the block in the online casino market. However, the brand has already gained a big reputation and offers many popular gaming titles including Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest Twin, Reel Bandits and many more.

Play Club Casino have spun into a very strong market in the UK as well as in Scandinavia and Germany, while experiencing rapid growth in the Netherlands too.

ClickSure, a global self-service platform, have built their reputation on open communication between affiliates and advertisers, which other networks discourage. To date, the marketplace is used by over 460,000 affiliates and publishers, and 29,000 advertisers.

Intralot’s Polish bookmaker Totolotek calls on Betradar to deliver first virtual sports betting offer in Poland

Virtual game betting has been made possible by the amended Gambling Law as of 1ts April 2017

Łódź Reds, Warsaw Military and Gdynia Herrings are just some names of teams debuting in the virtual Premier League, designed for those who enjoy betting on football game results. Intralot’s Totolotek is the first regulated bookmaker in Poland to make betting on virtual sports events available to customers, with simulations of football matches, dog racing and horse racing. Organization of this type of betting has been made possible by an amendment to Gambling Law, some provisions of which became effective in April.

Certain provisions of an amendment to Gambling Law passed on 15 December 2016 came into force on 1 April. They make it possible to organize bets on virtual events, which are a simulation of sports games. Each team or player taking part in these games have their own statistics, features, unique skills and a record of previous games.

“Betting on virtual sports events is increasingly popular in other countries, and has been available for many years. In Poland, betting on such events was made possible by the provisions of the amended Gambling Law, effective since April” says Adam Lamentowicz, CEO at Totolotek. “We believe that this kind of gaming will be of great interest to our customers. It is fast and much more accessible than betting on real games. We have put a lot of work into making the simulations as realistic and elaborate as possible, and placed a lot of data inside so as to enable players to analyze possible results” he adds.

Ed Roberts underlines the importance of Juegos Miami

Argentina-based Ed Roberts has become the first indigenous Latin American company to book stand space at Juegos Miami (May 31 – 2 June, The Biltmore, Miami). The manufacturer, distributor and operator of equipment for both the bricks-and-mortar and online casino sectors is active in countries including Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, the Dominican Republic and throughout the Caribbean.

Ed Roberts welcomes the introduction of a professional and well run event dedicated to the development of the Pan Latin American and Caribbean industry. He explained: “In my opinion, events such as Juegos Miami are essential for the development of business and for the industry at large. They allow the presentation of new products, to make contacts with new potential clients and to reaffirm current relationships. The possibility of exposing the products and performing the demonstrations in person is an added value for both the client and for us.”

He added: “It is very important for the industry to be able to come together and to exchange opinions as well as to promote products. This is how we contribute, as partners of our customers, in renewing the technological part of the casino and to demonstrate how we can help operators maximise revenue and enhance the experience of VIP clients. We are looking forward to being in Miami, a city which is very popular with the Latin American community and where we will be able to introduce the market to revolutionary online products and systems for the control of slots, live tables and online casinos.”

The bespoke C-Level business event has attracted the influential support of leading trade associations on the continent. The supporting associations include: CIBELAE (Corporación Iberoamericana de Loterías y Apuestas del Estado); FECOLJUEGOS (Colombian federation of casinos and bingos); CONAJZAR (Commission nacional de juegos de azar); ABLE (Brazilian State lotteries Association); Magocom/BNL, and FECEAZAR (Federación Colombiana de Empresarios de Juegos de Azar).

Salomon Ponte crosses the line on Poker Night in America

Salomon Ponte, the self-proclaimed Hashtag King, crosses the line on Poker Night in America after hurling insults at everyone that got into his eye line and one person who was nowhere near him.

I was recently asked to write a list article covering the Baddest Boys in Poker. It wasn’t a request that got the juices flowing, but I asked around the community for some responses, and I can categorise the feedback as follows:

1. Players who are deemed a bad boy because they are a little cheeky at the table.

2. Players who are deemed a bad boy because they are thieves or cheats.

GamePoint acquire Slots Craze developer Luck Genome

Dutch social gaming outfit GamePoint has acquired Israeli social casino developer Luck Genome.

On Tuesday, GamePoint – the Hague-based firm behind a variety of multiplayer online bingo, card and casino games – announced a deal to acquire Tel Aviv-based software firm Luck Genome, the two-year-old outfit behind the Slots Craze mobile and Facebook platform, which features over 60 social casino titles.

GamePoint CEO Amon Endt said the acquisition marked “a major step forward in our growth ambitions in social casino games.” Luck Genome’s games have been downloaded over 4m times, with the bulk of its customers residing in North America and Australia.

The deal will see Luck Genome retain its name while its 10 employees – including founders Guy Ezra and Liat Adir (CEO and head of product, respectively) – will remain hard at work at the company’s development center in Tel Aviv. Luck Genome plans to double its workforce over the coming year, with most of the additions expected in product and marketing positions.

The ninth annual Star Sydney Championships release summer schedule

Australian poker players finally have something to look forward to after the Star Sydney Championships release the schedule.

Remember the scene when Le Chiffre has James Bond strapped naked to a seatless chair, and continually hammers his balls with a badass looking knot at the end of a rope?

Well, those balls are Australian poker players, and the paternalistic nanny state is swinging the rope.

Those who rely on online poker to feed the kids have very few choices after the recent decision to ban online poker in the land of the cuddly koala bear. They can play illegally via virtual private networks (VPN), emigrate to a country with a more liberal attitude, play on a dodgy offshore site and wait for the next Full Tilt debacle, or play live poker.

Live Tournament wins for Jose Montes, Vanessa Truong, and The Grinder

A quick round-up of the live tournament scene in the States including another female victory thanks to Vanessa Truong’s World Series of Poker Circuit success, and a couple of old timers bringing home the bacon.

What a sterling week it has been for poker players who are female. We already covered the £1m win by Maria Lampropulos in the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Dusk till Dawn, and now we bring you news of another big score, this time Stateside.

Vanessa Truong has taken down the $1,675 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Main Event at the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) in Harrah’s Cherokee. Truong defeated a field of 1,164 entrants to take down the $318,646 first prize, her one and only recorded cash in the Hendon Mob database.

Truong, a nail technician from Raleigh, North Carolina, eliminated six of the eight other members of the final table including the last four. The last player to hit the rail was Daniel Pearlman who also banked a lifetime best of $196,809, after losing a three and a half hour heads-up slog.

Jacks or Better cruise casino GM doesn’t want poop on his stoop

A Texas casino cruise ship exec has made a great show of furiously backpedaling after a Facebook post went viral for all the wrong reasons.

Earlier this month, the new Jacks or Better Casino cruise ship sailing out of Galveston was forced to cut short one of its twice-daily trips to international waters where gambling is legal after the ship struck a buoy in the dark in Galveston Bay. The impact tore a gash in the ship’s hull but no one was hurt and all passengers were safely returned to shore.

The ship plans to resume its regular sailing schedule on Friday (28) but in the meantime, someone connected with the casino operators posted a query to the ship’s official Facebook page asking followers if Captain David Kendrick should lose his job as a result of the collision.

The since-deleted “Hire or Fire?” post was instantly met with a flood of vitriol from users outraged that the company appeared to be keelhauling their skipper without cause. Company general manager Rocky Herrin posted a followup notice claiming that company staff had received “telephonic hate threats” and that “dog poop was actually thrown on the GM’s front door.”
