Zero-fee 1xBit makes it ‘easy to bet’ with Bitcoin Cash as account currency

Australian cryptocurrency-based sports betting platform 1xBit announced that is has added Bitcoin Cash (BCH)—the only true Bitcoin and the world’s functional cryptocurrency—as an account currency on its platform, a move that shows the company’s commitment towards providing a genuine cryptocurrency gambling experience.

BCH, considered as the true remaining Bitcoin as intended by the Satoshi Nakamoto white paper, currently leads the race among cryptocurrencies wishing to become a true competitor against both PayPal and Visa for making payments. And thanks to its very low transaction fees, Bitcoin BCH is the best choice for both merchants, including gambling operators, and customers in the age of Bitcoin commerce (bCommerce).

Now, Bitcoin Cash has joined the list of supported currencies for account balances on the recently revamped 1xBit platform. Aside from Bitcoin BCH, 1xBit customers can also play directly using BTC, Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), DASH, Ethereum (ETH), Zcash (ZEC), GameCredits (GAME), and NEM.

1xBit already accepts Bitcoin Cash for payments on its platform, alongside BTC, LTC, DOGE, DASH, ETH, XMR, ZEC, GAME, NEM, BCN, SIB, DGB, BTG, ETC, FUNC, BTS, and XGOX. The 1xBit platform doesn’t charge fees for deposits and withdrawals.

EPL review week 37: Stoke go down; WBA, Swansea and Southampton still alive

Week 37 of the Premier League sees Stoke become the first Premier League team to fall into the Championship, while West Brom, Swansea and Southampton remain in the hunt with one weekend of action to go.

Stoke 1 v 2 Crystal Palace

The Coates family may well be amongst the richest in the UK, but they made a poor decision when they sacked Mark Hughes in January. The Welshman may not have been the future of the club. Sparky’s spark may have dampened. But the timing was horrendous.

Paul Lambert came into the club, and as the Scot said on a day that saw their 10-year relationship with the Premier League end, “it’s difficult to come in mid-January.”

Rattlesnake Open twice as good as expected

U.S.-facing online poker site Global Poker saw its Rattlesnake Open kick off just over a week ago, and the response has been much better than expected. If things continue at the current pace, the 135-event series will end up paying out double the advertised guarantee of $1.25 million.

A $5,000 freeroll got things started last Sunday, and saw 3,132 players take to the virtual felt. All events across the first four days exceeded their guarantees—some by a little, others by more than double. The $110 6-Max tournament on Monday night had a $10,000 guarantee, but by the time it was all set up, the guarantee had been pushed to over $22,000.

The series offers tournaments for any budget and any taste—No-Limit Hold’Em (NLHE), Pot-Limit Omaha and Fixed-Limit Hold’em. Buy-ins range from $3.30 up to $218 and there will be three NLHE Main Event tournaments on May 20, starting with a $22 buy-in $15,000-guarantee tournament. There will also be a $110 buy-in tournament with a $40,000 guarantee and a $218 tourney with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000. Several satellite tournaments are being offered for as low as $0.55 to try for a place in the $100,000 Main Event.

In addition to the cash prizes, winners also receive a Rattlesnake trophy and a Global Poker Champions pack. The pack can typically include GP-branded items such as t-shirts and baseball caps.

‘Britain’s Got Talent’ host under fire for gambling promotion

“Buzzers at the ready” is a standard line from the reality TV show, Britain’s Got Talent (BTG). It has now been borrowed by a gambling website being promoted by the show’s judge, David Walliams, landing the millionaire in hot water with the public. It’s not too surprising that he would be tapped for the promotions, since the site—called Britain’s Got Talent Games—is branded by BTG. Perhaps they also want to seek out talented poker players, and not just singers and dancers.

Walliams, who apart from being a BTG judge writes children’s books, has been slammed for promoting the BGT Games site, which offers casino and slot games, in its radio promotions. The ready spots start with an introduction, “Everyone’s favorite talent show has been given a star-studded slingo twist.” Slingo refers to online single and multi-players games that combine elements of both slot machines and bingo.

The 46-year-old multi-millionaire agreed to the promotions in which he encourages listeners to sign up, prompting problem gambling experts and fans to come out from everywhere and admonish him for the move. One fan stated, “Unimpressed if it is you and you are endorsing online gambling when you have such a high profile with kids & families #gamblingaware #ethics #mental- health #poverty.”

Liz Karter, a specialist in gambling addiction, also blasted Walliams, stating, “David doing this means the site could potentially appeal to children. In a way it gives gambling a softer image. Because David is a children’s author this could give the feeling of gambling being an innocent pastime—which of course it can be, but it can also lead to addiction…Adverts reach people who are vulnerable and could become addicted.”

Online casino out of East New Delhi busted

In a continued crackdown on illegal gambling in India, an online casino has been busted in Delhi’s Krishna Kunj over the weekend. During the raid, six individuals were arrested, Times of India reported. They all argued that they were unemployed, and forced to run the operations to earn income.

Police found 15 PlayStation gaming consoles and computers connected to a server that allowed gamblers to place bets on a game called ‘Game King India.’ Among those arrested was the casino’s manager, Amit Kashyap.

The locale was named Fun Point in the Laxmi Nagar area of Krishan Kunj. From the outside, it looked like an ordinary Internet café, but appearances can be deceiving. A police officer involved in the raid was quoted by the news outlet saying, “Betting racket software was installed in the PlayStation, which was connected with the computer, through which the gambling racket was running.”

Police determined that the casino had been operated for the past several months. It wasn’t until a tip last Saturday that they moved in, raiding the operations and making the arrests. Gamblers were enticed with profits of up to $538 (Rs36,000) from wagers of a minimum of about $15 (Rs1,000). According to a statement by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Singh, “If the bidders got their number online, the lucky ones were promised Rs36,000. The organizer has been arrested in the past as well for organizing and running a similar gaming house.”

Slotegrator connected Red Rake Gaming to a unified API protocol

The main advantages of the unified API protocol are time and money savings during the process of software integration into the online casino. Operators do not need to get in touch with each provider because Slotegrator has already done it for them. Thus, thanks to the API protocol, the owner of the casino has the full package of games in just one integration.

Recently, Red Rake Gaming expanded the list of available providers. Now, the software of the top-notch Spanish provider can be easily added to online casino without any extra costs!

Since 2011, Red Rake develops software for the gambling projects and successfully supplies the products on the global gambling market. The team of the provider consists of more than 40 specialists, who are constantly introducing new solutions in the gambling industry. One of the major innovations of Red Rake Gaming – the world’s first slot with orbital reels.

Larry Greenberg joins the WPT Champions Club; Gilmartin snags film role

Larry Greenberg wins the World Poker Tour Elite Poker Championship at The Bellagio, and Lynn Gilmartin stars in an upcoming movie playing a wild Irish woman called Dot.

The World Poker Tour Elite Poker Championship needs to find a new square in the live tournament calendar or remove the word ‘Elite’ from the title after only 126 entrants ponied up the $10,400 entry fee in the inaugural event.

With PokerStars driving the European Poker Tour (EPT) around the racetrack in Monte Carlo, and partypoker moving like a madman in Montreal, it was asking a bit too much of the men and women with $10k to flick into a tournament to stay behind, even with a $25k High Roller all red and cherry like.

Alas, when you reach the finishing line first, you don’t care how many people entered. You won, simple as that. A WPT Champions Club berth is yours for life. A legacy encrusted in the Hendon Mob algorithms.

Driving Instructor takes the controls and wins EPT Monte Carlo

A Parisian driving instructor beats a stellar European Poker Tour Monte Carlo final table giving him a story to tell his clients on Monday mornings, while Albert Daher, Justin Bonomo and Bryn Kenney enjoy backend success.

Driving instructor, Nicolas Dumont spends his days sharing snippets of his dreary life while catching glimpses of cheeky thighs. Come Monday, Dumont will have a slightly more impressive story to tell (although not as remarkable as those cheeky thighs).

When Dumont isn’t teaching people how to drive, he spends two days a week grinding $100 multi-table tournaments (MTTs) on PokerStars’ new European Poker Network. The salubrious surroundings of Monte Carlo isn’t usually a place someone of Dumont’s ilk hangs around, but his best buddy, Julien Perouse, booked a ride, couldn’t make it, and asked his pal if he would jump into the driving seat.

Vroom.
