He was once the youngest player ever to reach a World Series of Poker Main Event final table, and now he is readying himself for his TV debut with the semi-autobiographical Just Dougie.
According to flickeringmyth.com, former poker player Douglas Kim has begun pre-production on a new television show.
Just Dougie is a semi-autobiographical comedy that tells the tale of an Asian-American poker player trying to make the transition from the green felt to the silver screen.
Kim became the youngest-ever player to reach the final table of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event when he finished seventh in 2006 for $2.4m. He timed his run well. 2006 remains the year of the largest prize pool ($82.5m), first prize ($12m) and entrants (8,773). Jamie Gold was the eventual victor.
