3-Barrels of pure value from the World Poker Tour as Ankush Mandavia is crowned king of ‘California Swing’, Harrison Gimbel wins Rolling Thunder title, and Dietrich Fast so close to WPT title #2.
Ankush Mandavia Fan Club President Daniel Negreanu will be busy this week after Mandavia was crowned the king of ‘Californian Swing’. You may remember Negreanu singing Mandavia’s praises during the Global Poker League (GPL) Draft. The team managers weren’t as impressed. They might be now.
Mandavia is the man with the most impressive record across the World Poker Tour (WPT) California Swing events. He failed to cash in the LA Poker Classic, but his 23rd place finish in the Bay 101 Shooting Stars Main Event, and eighth place finish in the Rolling Thunder Main Event was sufficient enough to gain him the accolade.
The WPT will ensure he is well looked after during the 2017 California Swing triumvirate. He picks up six night of free accommodation, transfer to/from the airport and a free massage at the Meridian Spa when competing in the next WPT LA Poker Classic. He will be a Shooting Star at the next WPT Bay 101 Shooting Stars event. He will also be given five free nights accommodation and $500 room credit during the 2017 WPT Thunder Valley Series.
