Tabcorp subsidiary enters the Argentinian market to exclusively distribute Buenos Aires track’s horse-racing content to international markets
Louisville, KY, March, 2016 – Sky Racing World, a Louisville, Kentucky-based distributor of international horse-racing content to the Americas and subsidiary of leading Australian wagering operator Tabcorp, has announced a partnership with Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo, a horse-racing track in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sky Racing World will provide exclusive simulcasting of all races taking place at this leading Argentinian track to advance deposit wagering (ADW) brands, racetracks and off-track betting outlets (OTBs) in the US, Canada, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
Following its partnership with Codere in December 2015 to provide live video-streaming on Australian, New Zealand and South African races to the operator’s Brazil-facing ADW Suaposta and various Brazilian tracks, Sky Racing World’s new distribution deal with Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo will see the company expand its South American presence and enter the Argentinian market. Buenos Aires’ oldest and most prestigious horse-racing venue, Palermo hosts more than 120 thoroughbred and flat-racing events annually and features a 2,400-meter all-weather racetrack.
All the races taking place at the Palermo track, including the upcoming Gran Premio Republica Argentina event in May, the Gran Premio Pollo de Portillos y Potrancas race in September and the Gran Premio Nacional in November, will be exclusively distributed by Sky Racing World for simulcast wagering to its partners in major international markets. The global wagering pools will be hosted by Premier Gateway International (PGI), based on the Isle of Man. PGI is a joint venture between Tabcorp and Phumelela.
