A trio of stories from India with the largest online poker room in the country, Adda52, opening Crazy Pineapple tables, the India Poker Championship set to begin, and news of increased interest in the game from the females of the species.

India’s largest online poker site, Adda52, has announced plans to add Crazy Pineapple to their offering of games. They become the first online poker site in India to offer this derivative.

The online site has been running Texas Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) and Omaha Hi/Lo games for four years. Crazy Pineapple is not to be confused with the Chinese poker variant on offer at outlets such as TonyBetPoker.

In Crazy Pineapple, players are each dealt three cards face down, and each player has to discard one card after the flop round of betting. The rest of the hand plays out in the same fashion as No-Limit Hold’em (NLHE). Crazy Pineapple is almost identical to NLHE with the introduction of the third card increasing the likelihood that more players move to the turn with stronger hands thus making the game more stockings and suspenders, rather than woolly tights.
