New-comer to the football betting scene, LeoVegas Sport, has opened the first market for punters to place their bets on where the England squad’s team mascot will be spotted next; he’s already been snapped in the background of the team picture boarding the plane, heading into the hotel and has even been out for the day with defender John Stones.
Tongues were wagging after Chris Smalling was initially spotted carrying the cuddly lion into the England team hotel in Chantilly, before it was revealed that the toy is in fact Leo the Lion – the squad’s playful team mascot.
Euro veteran Wayne Rooney arranged for the fluffy lion to travel to the tournament and now each of Roy’s chosen 23 will have to take on baby-sitting duties to make sure Leo is well looked after throughout the tournament, with severe punishments if he’s misplaced.
LeoVegas launched its Sportbook offering back in May, and has now started taking ‘Leo the Lion’ bets so we can all get involved with Rooney’s team building exercise.
