Cheyenne Fire and Rescue Engines 1, 2 and Battalion 2 were dispatched to the area of 1st street and Van Lennen for a brush fire, which spread to the tree. Crews immediately deployed a hose line to stop the fire from spreading to surrounding grassy areas and higher into the tree.
