DraftKings slaps cease & desist letter on SuperLobby daily fantasy sports analysts

Daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings has gone over to the dark side after slapping a cease and desist order on DFS analysts SuperLobby.

On Monday, SuperLobby’s official Twitter feed posted a two-page letter the company received from DraftKings attorneys, ordering SuperLobby to immediately halt (a) all use of DraftKings’ trademarks on SuperLobby.com, and (b) all scraping of data from DraftKings site to compile SuperLobby’s weekly DFS statistics.

The letter accuses SuperLobby of the unauthorized use of DraftKing’s ‘crown’ logo and, more crucially, of violating DraftKings’ terms of use by having “scraped data from DraftKings’ contest lobby” for use on SuperLobby.com.

DraftKings’ missive goes on to demand that SuperLobby provide it with written assurances by Feb. 10 that SuperLobby and any affiliated or related companies “will cease and desist immediately from all use of the infringing activity and violating of” DraftKings’ terms of use.
