New Jersey’s regulated online gambling market set yet another monthly revenue record in November despite online poker plumbing new depths of disinterest.
Figures released Wednesday by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) shows state-licensed online operators generating revenue of $26.94m in November, a 30.7% improvement over the same month last year and a modest gain over October 2018’s previous record high of $26.75m.
The gains came despite the online poker vertical sinking to yet another record low of $1.56m, 13.7% below November 2017’s result and ‘beating’ the previous record low of $1.6m set this September. For the year-to-date, online poker revenue is down 12.1% to just $19.6m.
Meanwhile, the online casino vertical shows no sign of letting up, rising 35% year-on-year to just under $25.4m in November. For the year-to-date, online casino revenue is up a healthy 23.5% to just over $250m.
