PokerStars have come full circle in their relationship with the Italian Poker Tour (IPT) by agreeing to terms to become the tour’s primary sponsor.

The largest online poker room this side of the homeless man sleeping in front of me severed ties with all regional poker tours in 2014, in a move that kickstarted the PokerStars Championship and Festival vision.

Since that announcement, PokerStars has turned back the clock a few times, more notably changing the name of the PokerStars Championship Bahamas back to the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA). The PokerStars brand was in your face during the recent Asian Championship of Poker (ACOP) in Macau, and now the IPT falls back under the protective wing of the giants of online poker.
